All relationships are ephemeral and impermanent. An insight into our own thoughts and feelings toward another person will help us recognize that such perceptions and emotions are very transitory. They may easily fade away with time, or due to many external and internal factors. If we do not "feed" or nurture the thoughts and feelings by mulling day and night over the relationship and the subject(s) involved in the relationship, chances are that it will die out gradually, leaving nothing behind. With time and distance relationships may change dramatically.
Mother's unselfish love is probably the only noblest bond between two human beings, but mother's love itself changes, too; nothing is permanent.
